Kathmandu–Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa today has asked the police department to not stay away from fulfilling their responsibility. "Even a small mistake of police may become counterproductive to the whole police department, the government and the state. You (police) do not have rights to stay away from your responsibilities," he said at a concluding session of the police inspector basic training here. Praising Nepal Police's work, he said they would have an important role in realising the country's goals of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'.

The Minister also directed those police inspectors who have successfully completed the training session, to discharge their duty with responsibility. On the occasion, a total of 91 police inspectors including nine women who underwent the training session comprising the programme of Post Graduate Diploma in Police Science were presented with certificates.
