Jajarkot - The body of one Narendra Gharti of Barekot rural municipality-2 in the district kept at a health post at Limsa two days ago is waiting for a post-mortem, thanks to unavailability of a doctor.
"We have no idea what to do with Gharti's body, as it is yet to be examined," said a local resident Bishnu Jyoti. Health workers have told that preparations were underway to bring a doctor from nearby Dalli health post in Nalgadh Municipality to examine Gharti's body, he added.
Gharti fell off a cliff while returning after attending a function on March 5.
Besides, the health facility is finding it difficult to cater to visiting patients for want of a doctor and health staffs. The health post has two vacant posts of MBBS doctor.
A doctor posted to the health post is also absent from work for the past one month, further aggravating the matter, said a health worker.
Likewise, the Jajarkot District Hospital is struggling to provide service following disruption in power supply for the past one week.
