Surkhet – Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet has said that the incumbent government took longer time to carry out its works in a way to showcase results since it has to work in a new structure.
At a press conference organized at Surkhet Airport on Friday, he said the incumbent government did not have the comforts to work in a readymade structure so achieving results within seven months was difficult.
"The country has a special situation with the three tiers of governments in place," he said, adding that the government is planning to conclude the works related to internal preparation during the period. So, the government is no more deviated from its goal and commitment.
Minister Basnet also ruled out allegation that the federal government was reluctant to devolve power to the provincial governments. ---
